School Site Council (SSC)

The School Site Council (SSC) at Palmetto Elementary is a team of parents, teachers, staff, and administrators who work together to support student achievement and school improvement. The SSC plays a key role in developing, reviewing, and overseeing the school's budget and academic plans, ensuring resources are used effectively to benefit all students. The SSC helps decide how school funding is allocated, discusses and evaluates school programs and student performance, and encourages parent and community involvement in decision-making.

English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC)

The English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) at Palmetto Elementary is a group of parents and school staff dedicated to supporting the success of English Learner (EL) students. The ELAC team is responsible for advising school leadership on programs and services for English Learners, reviews ELPAC testing results and helps to plan support strategies, assists in the development of the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA), and encourages parent involvement in their child’s education. ELAC meetings are open to all parents and provide an opportunity to voice concerns, ask questions, and collaborate to enhance learning opportunities for EL students.
